Implementing Dynamic Load Distribution

چکیده

This paper proposes and evaluates various dynamic load distribution strategies for CORBA applications. A general application model for CORBA applications based on the Ex-porter/Importer/Trader model is introduced. For this model, techniques for the integration of load distribution strategies are shown. To evaluate the performance of the proposed strategies, a generic test system using IONA's Orbix is developed. The results obtained from the performance tests show that substantial performance beneets can be achieved by integrating suitable load distribution strategies into CORBA applications.

A Novel Method for Implementing of Time-of-use to Improve the Performance of Electric Distribution Systems: A Case Study

Increased electric energy consumption in recent years, associated economic problems, reduced reliability and increased power losses in electric networks. One of the main solutions in smart grids to overcome the mentioned problems is demand response programs. In demand response programs, operators apply time-varying tariffs to consumers, and convince them to change their consumption pattern. Amo...

A New Fuzzy Approach for Dynamic Load Balancing Algorithm

Load balancing is the process of improving the Performance of a parallel and distributed system through is distribution of load among the processors[1-2]. Most of the previous work in load balancing and distributed decision making in general, do not effectively take into account the uncertainty and inconsistency in state information but in fuzzy logic, we have advantage of using crisps inputs. ...

Parallel Implementations of Irregular Problems Using High-Level Actor Language

In this paper we present our experience in implementing several irregular problems using a high-level actor language. The problems studied require dynamic computation of object placement and may result in load imbalance as the computation proceeds, thereby requiring dynamic load balancing. The algorithms are expressed as fine-grained computations providing maximal flexibility in adapting the co...

Feasibility study of presenting a dynamic stochastic model based on mixed integer second-order conic programming to solve optimal distribution network reconfiguration in the presence of resources and demand-side management

Nowadays, with the use of devices such as fossil distributed generation and renewable energy resources and energy storage systems that are operated at the level of distribution networks, the problem of optimal reconfiguration has faced major challenges, so any change in the power of this resources can have different results in reconfiguration. Similarly, load changes during the day can lead to ...

The Effect of Fiber Breakage on Transient Stress Distribution in a Single-Lap Joint Composite Material

In the present study, the transient stress distribution caused by a break in the fibers of an adhesive bonding is investigated. Transient stress is a dynamic response of the system to any discontinuity in the fibers from detachment time till their equilibrium state (or steady state). To derive the governing dynamic equilibrium equations shear lag model is used. Here, it is assumed that the tens...
